BurnTec Hydrogel Dressing

BurnTec® hydrogel dressing has been developed with the latest technology to deliver superior first aid treatment for a wide range of skin injuries including thermal, chemical and electrical burns. It is FDA approved and CE marked, and its use extends from civilian to military environments.

The BurnTec® dressing's unique feature lies in its stable hydrogel structure, which is reinforced with medical grade non-woven fabric. This ensures that the gel remains at the site of injury without running, preventing further damage and eliminating the risk of suffocation during oxygen therapy.

The composition of the hydrogel, a mixture of natural and synthetic polymers cross-linked by an electron beam, ensures efficient heat transfer away from the injury site, providing a soothing effect for up to 24 hours. The dressing is also biocompatible and hypoallergenic, making it safe for all skin types.

The BurnTec® dressing is non-adhesive and absorbent, meaning it effectively traps wound fluid and bacteria while allowing the wound to breathe. This promotes healing and protects against external contamination. It can be used for first, second and third degree burns as well as for sunburn, skin abrasions, bruises, swelling and insect bites. Immediate application reduces the risk of hypertrophic scars and the painless removal of the dressing protects newly formed tissue.
